Announcing the Vesrah Offroad Team
The Vesrah Offroad Team (formerly known as Vesrah Suzuki Offroad) is set to launch anew in 2012. The two man squad composed of veteran racers Scott Daubert and Joe Vadeboncoeur has additional backing for 2012. Joining forces with Vesrah Brakes will be Fun Mart Cycle Center, the largest KTM sales and service center in the USA based in Moline Il. The team will be taking on the local D16 Hare Scrambles series, select GNCC events, select National Enduros, and aim for a podium finish at the famed Perry Mountain 24hr Challenge.
The team launched an all new website on February 1, with rich photo and video content, detailed bike spec pages, personal blogs from Joe and Scott, links to sponsor sites, and event calendars. The team’s website promotes offroad motorcycle riding lifestyle in the upper Midwest. Be sure to check it out at www.vesrahoffroad.com.
“Joe and I had great success on Suzuki for the past five years. Suzuki has treated us like family and we owe them a huge thanks. Now we are looking forward to racing on KTM and to our association with Fun Mart,” noted Daubert. “We are training hard and hope to make a good showing in the Duo class at Perry Mountain and to race at the front of our respective classes every weekend.” Scott normally races the AA class in local Hare Scrambles and races the A class at GNCC races.
“We had a lot of success with Suzuki,” said Vadeboncoeur, who normally races the +40 or A class locally and has won the +40B class at Loretta’s GNCC in 2011. “This season will have lots of exciting new challenges with new sponsors who are really on board and new bikes. We will also mount another attempt to do well at Perry Mountain 24hr race.”

We are Joe Vadeboncoeur and Scott Daubert, everyday off-road motorcycle racers. The photo above is from the Perry Mountain 24hr race in 2011, we do not always look that scruffy, but 24hrs is a long time.
We live in southern Wisconsin and compete in the District 16 AMA Harescrambles series, District 16 Enduro series, National Harescrambles series, National Enduro series, OMA series, and the GNCC series. Scott races the AA group locally and the A group on the national level, Joe races the A group locally and the B group nationally. On just about any weekend, you will find us at an offroad event – somewhere.
In 2008, we did the entire Grand National Cross Country Racing Series . We managed to complete that with the help of our sponsors, you can go back over the blog archives to read a log of that experience. It was a hoot. Guys in their 40′s shouldn’t have that much fun. We saw a part of the country we had never seen, we raced in far off places, we were passed by David Knight and Josh Strang (more times than we should have been) and we had a grand time. We were National racers – sort of.
We compete locally and nationally. We also do all we can to tell you about offroad motorcycling in the upper midwest. We will do all of that with huge smiles on our faces, because… the worst day on a motorcycle is still pretty damn good.
