Above is Joe eating lunch in the camper. It rained big time here in GA in recent days. The parking lot is a huge field of wet, red clay. We got stuck twice pulling in late on Friday night but managed to get a tow to a camp spot for the night. The wind (and cold) kicked in over night and I was afraid we were going to loose the camper. The top and walls were all over the place every time the wind gusted. It was a little scary and it wrecked my chances of getting a good night sleep. On Saturday morning we moved our gear to a course front location and worked on the bikes some. Joe dinged a radiator and its brace at the FL races so he spent the day straightening his pieces out. I spun my rear tire around, did some cleaning and slipped in a new filter and some oil. It’s cold here and our bikes are running really lean compared to FL. We won’t make changes until Sunday morning when we know what the temps will be like. I rode my mtn bike on some of the loop today. The terrain looks like lots of fun but there are some huge mud holes that will for sure give me fits. I’ll get a good look at them Sunday morning during the morning race. During my ride a noted how low in the sky the sun is and how it might affect some parts of the course. But that shouldn’t be too much of a problem since daylight savings kicks in on Saturday night. Whew. Below is our tracksite pit.

Joe appears to have a bit of food or dirt stuck to his chin there…
